Drifter's Landing
We
began business as a full service Alaska salmon fishing lodge on
the Kenai River in 1989. Drifter's Landing is owned and operated
by Ken and Elizabeth Smith. Ken began guiding as a 12 year
old on the Salmon River of Idaho. He has been guiding on the
rivers of Alaska since 1986. The Smiths have also been in
the guiding and outfitting business in Idaho for over 30 years.
Ken is a past-president
of the Idaho Outfitters and Guides Association.
With their backgroung
in outdoor recreation, Ken and Elizabeth can assure you a
wonderful fishing vacation!
Drifter's Landing is located between Kenai and
Soldotna, Alaska (see the map below). Most clients fly in to Anchorage.
From there we recommend renting a car for the very scenic 3 hour
drive. With two or more people,the rental fee is close to, or less
than air travel, and you will have the convenience of a vehicle
for side trips and dinner.If you elect to fly into Kenai it is a
30 minute commuter flight,. To insure you get the dates
you want for your fishing vacation, we recommend you make
